Just joined the forum as a preemptive strike for when I need information and/or guidance. Bought my first Mustang GT convertible in 1990 (dark red, 5sp, red cloth seats). Sold it last week with 47k miles (new paint and top in 2010). Must have priced it too low as LOTS of interest and sold quickly for asking price. Yesterday I replaced it with a 2006 Mustang GT convertible (dark red, tan seats, 5sp, 10k miles). Lot's of improvement over the years. But I'm sure I'll have questions, like how to get a second key. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to MF. If you only got one key with your car you will have two choices and both are not cheap. You can check with your local locksmith, or go to the dealer.
Yeah, you must have 2 keys to make an extra one. Once you get the second key as mentioned above I would order one from eBay for $15 and program the 3rd one yourself for a backup.
