My First Stang
hi, all,
"PintoPony" here.
I am a proud owner of my first Mustang, in fact the first fun car I've ever owned, since I've driven nothing but minivans and econocars since 1975!
it's a 2011 V6 coupe, 6 -sp. manual, Performance Pkg, 19" wheels/tires.
it may be tame next to a GT, but WOW, what a blast to drive.
the torque and lateral grip makes me positively delinquent on On Ramps and Exit Ramps.
The only mod i'm going for thus far is a K&N 69 series Typhoon cold-air intake, which is going on tomorrow. No tuners or reflashing of ECU yet, since I have lots of factory warranty left on this "pre-owned" beauty and don't want to give Ford a chance to deny any claims.
The Pirelli P.Zero summers had some nasty tire thrum at about 18 mph, so I switched to Cooper Zeon RS3-A's. Much smoother and quieter, have not yet tested them for extreme lateral grip, though.
Any advice from anyone about what to do about spare, since I don't want to use the fix a flat (if i ever get a flat), and a 19" spare won't fit in the wheel well in trunk?

Welcome to MF it's great to have you. Congrats on your first car and it's awesome it's a Mustang.
I just have the doughnut spare and as you can see I do not have stock wheels.

Sleeper,
the way you modified your stang is awesom, red stripe on basic black. very elegant.
question about the donut spare: did you get if from a ford dealer? after-market? if after-market, what place do you recommend to order it from, assuming it's online. And about how much $$ for the donut.
Oh, one more thing , does the donut fit in the wheel well where the spare goes, or does it just sit in the trunk?
thanks for the advice
