Default New to the forums

Hey all, I'm 19 with a 2012 5.0. Now I know that doesn't get me too much respect around anyone or here. But I'm paying for it the same at 19 as a 30 year old would. I financed it, am paying my own insurance, and making the gas payment. I take plenty of flak for being too young to have it so feel free to pile it on! Don't mean to superspill, but I'll get better as I get familiar with other peoples posts. My mod list is pretty extensive with the first performance upgrade being a set of 3.73 gear ratios. This leads me to my first question. I found a kit on AmericanMuscle.com for 600 bucks and was wondering if anyone could give me an estimate on installation. I feel like it's a good first mod but don't want to spend a fortune! If it's going to cost THAT much, I will just do exhaust, intake, headers etc. (The fun stuff) before I spend that kind of money. Thanks

First off Welcome to MF, and way to go on the ride post some pics up. Gears installed normally cost around 500-600 depending on the shop, make sure they have installed gears in the S197 and have a good rep. Also make sure you go with the Ford Racing gears have heard a lot of horror stories about Motive. If you want to wake the car up you might try a CAI and Tune for your first upgrade it will truly surprise you in the difference that you will see. Have fun and see ya around the forums.

Welcome to MF and lets see some pics of your new GT! Also, our gear/Bama tuner kits are an impressive upgrade. You'll be surprised how much of a difference in acceleration your GT will pick up. Plus, this will enroll you into our Free Tunes for Life program. So, make sure you take advantage of getting free tune adjustments for any future bolt-on mods!

Looking forward to seeing those pics!
