Default Hello all! V6 mustang owner in MI

Hey all, just got my second mustang, and decided I'm going to hang onto this one. Believe it or not, I got a 1995 Mustang V6 for $450 and a 1985 suzuki lt250r. The guy I got it from said id needed head gaskets, maybe new heads. Wel, he was right. Hoping for a gasket job, I removed the heads only to find a broken valve guide and a bent intake valve. The broken pieces of the guide welded to the top of piston and the bottome of head. I found out a guy I know had a 94 3.8 laying in his garage from when he did his swap to a 04 3.8. The newer 3.8's have split port intakes and come stock with about 190 hp, vs the 145 I have now. Hopefully with a little patience, money, and time, I can have this 3.8 as quick as some of the 5.0's. I know since I still have single port intake I can use a tbird supercharger, but my car has a custom paint job and I really don't want to lose that by having to get a cowl hood, so it may just remain stock until I get some cash flowin! Either way, its a nice ride, and I love all mustangs. I'm actually going to swap heads this week and hopefully have a nice running v6!

Thanks, I've had it for about 6 months now. I didn't think I would really like the V6, but I have fell in love with it. Commuting to work is fun again.

Thanks everyone glad to be here! 06RubyFire, that 4.0 has come a long way from when it was first introduced in the Explorer! My college bought a 06 Mustang with the 4.0 liter and it will roast the tires, not that I would do that to school property or anything Nowadays people are finding ways to improve the v6's to compete with the v8's with the increased fuel economy.
