Cool First stang!

whats up guys i recently bought my 4th car (first car im making payments on) and yup its a mustang. First car was a 91 honda prelude, 2nd car was a 93 300e (sold that in literally a week), third car was an e30 lets see who knows what those are, and now the mustang and I gotta say it's by far my favorite. I started getting serious about cars when I got my e30 and now its on with the mustang.

anyways for everyone thats still awake its a '00 GT and even more importantly in my opinion its a stick. only have one pic atm.

last thing, just wondering if anyone can answer this question. Im still learning to drive a stick and i was just wondering if it was ok to slow down and make turns in 2nd and 3rd gear. When I press the gas again my car doesnt shudder (as it does if i dont give it enough gas from a stop in first gear). Sometimes it shudders but just barely and I figure its easier on the clutch to stay in 2nd or 3rd to make a turn. Should i just stop being a you know what and start from 1st at stop signs and turns?

thanks for all help in advance

Welcome to the forum and American Muscle.

I'm not sure that I understand your question. Are you stopping and starting out in 2nd and or 3rd gear? If so that's probably not good on your drivetrain if you're making rolling turns in 2-3 gear then you're fine.

Welcome, yes you can make turns in 2nd or 3rd gear depending on your speed.

thanks guys

@Jeff and Redfire, It's not from a complete stop I think the car would stall if I did that. I meant if it was a rolling turn. So im driving in 2nd or 3rd, I dont stop just slow down a little, and make the turn in 2nd or 3rd. I think you both already answered it though so thanks
