Question Hello and a question

Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy a 95 Mustang GT and had a question about the reliability of the engine and transmission.

The car is a 95 Mustang GT (5.0, 5 speed manual) which is being sold by the original owner. The car has 202,000 miles on it, which has me a bit worried, but the owner has all the records of service done at the Ford dealership. Would this be a good buy? I've talked him down to $2100, which seems fair.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

the price is great, but 202k would worry me. I dont know much about that generation of 5.0, but i would assume parts would be easy to find due to how popular it was. I could be wrong, maybe someone else can chime in.

personally, i would save the $ and save more to buy something with under 150k

welcome.

Miles are high, but being that the seller is the original owner is nice. I'd suggest looking around at others to see what you're getting for the money as a comparison.

Good Luck.

Thanks for all of the welcomes, and sorry for the late replies, I've been pretty busy with school and work.

So I ended up buying the car. The owner was able to provide me with all the service records back to the day he bought it (the folder is about 4 inches thick). The engine runs smooth but if you run it hard, you can tell that it's got some miles on it. Other than that, there are some minor issues with paint, but no dents.

I'll try to get some pictures up as soon as I clean it up.

Well put! I'm not afraid throw money at it, I saw a good deal and took it. Pics should be up later today.
