I'm new to the forum and looking for any feedback as to whether I should repaint?

Welcome again, as for the repaint, that's your call. My car was black primer when I got it also. I checked into the repainting scene but my checkbook didn't like it. So I painted it myself……hence my username. You really have to know what your doing , I didn't, but I might try again.

Good luck with your decision, and post some before and after pics if you do.

 

I personally kind of like that look! Shows some character.

Me personally, I'd paint it if the checkbook allowed. Nothing like seeing a nice, shiney classic!
