302 upgrade help needed

I have a 1966 stang. I am trying to make it able to run 12 second passes on 1/4 mile. It is staying carbureted, What upgrades to the engine should I do to it

Welcome, and good luck in that goal. The first 60ft are the most important to good times at the track. Every tenth you knock off your 60, equates to 2 tenths off your ET.

More power never hurts either, those guys in the classics section will help with that.
