Cool. I helped a buddy install a Tripower in a 1968 Mustang GT fastback with a 390. I'm not sure what the Tripowers origin was. The '68 was the car that hooked me on Mustangs forever. I recall that it had a medium rise intake manifold and was a pain to get the carbs all adjusted correctly.

I do admit it is a pain, I started out with vacuum meters, that lasted about 5 min!! No way I could do it by ear or vacuum, I ended up getting a FAST o2 meter with two o2 sensors and split readout. In case you don't know, each car has two mixture screws ( one for each barrel ) so I kinda got the engine divided in half. Right and left banks with a sensor for each. LIFE SAVER!! The meter works great. I can give one screw an 1/8 of a turn and see it on that side of the meter. So about 2 times a year, when it's starts idleing rough at a light, in gear, know it's time to pull out the meter.
