Default B/R vacuum port

I recently inherited an '87 mustang GT and while I was replacing some vacuum lines chewed up by rats I noticed one on the vacuum tree that goes to the B/R port. It was ran through the firewall and coiled up under the center console and not connected to anything. Does anyone know what this may have been used for?

Welcome to the forum.

It's early here so I'm still not fully awake, but what is a B/R port ? The only vacuum lines that run into the cabin are for the HVAC controls. Or at least that's what I'm thinking right now lol.

If you can post up a picture that might help alot.

Okay, I'll post a pic tomorrow.
Thanks for the diagram. It doesn't seem to show the vacuum tree though.

The vacuum tree I believe your talking about is called the "manifold vacuum" in the diagram.

Good luck

I was wrong. It is there. It's the one with 4 ports that goes to the hvac controls.
