Special Mach 1
I am a new member with a 1969 mustang mach 1 fastback it was my grandfathers and ever since I had seen it I would bug him over and over asking if I could have it, "cmon lemme take it back to Oregon with me" and fix it up he would always say nah idk kiddo or maybe next time. he recently passed away but left the car in my name it is really important to me to fix it up and get it on the road it hasn't ran in years I'm just looking for an idea at what I'm looking are there some common problems this particular model had or any additional information would help thanks

Drain all the fluids to start with.
Remove each spark plug and squirt some oil in each cylinder.
Use a big socket set and hand crank the motor some to work the cylinders up and down.
Put in a new battery. Put in fresh oil, gas, antifreeze.
Put in new plugs, wires, distributor cap.
Try and start the car.
Once it's running go thru the brakes/tires and make sure car is roadworthy.
Good luck with the rest of it.
