i have a 73 mustang coupe, my brother in law bought a 72 mustang new and i eventually purchased it. It was in sad shape so i started to rebuild it from the bottom up. i ended up switching from a 72 body to a 73 because there was way to much work trying to restore the 72 body. i purchased a 351c 4 barrel out of a mach1 and rebuilt it and dropped it in. i used the transmission from the 72 a FMX and the whole steering, axle, rear end, from the 72. Basicly i have a 72 body on a 73 undercarriage. I have major problems with overheating in the beginning as i had bored out the motor 30 thousands . i put a lincoln four core rad in hoping that would help..NOT! I was lost for an answer till I researched adding a electric fan, i put on a twin electric fan and adjustable temperature fan control. this worked excellent! no more overheating problems! I have continued to restore it. It's a forever project as i am pretty sure you all know..I have recently restored the seats to new using the original frames and recovering them with new vinyl . I am getting pretty close to having it perfect. the paint and body work has been done.. looks awesome now..
