Default USB problem

Hi all, had the mustang for a month now, everything works fine apart from the usb socket, tried the quick fixes fuse 3- battery disconnected ect, tested the USB socket itself and no power indicated on the 2 outer pins, question is where is the APIM unit located on a 2012 3.7 premium.
Thanks all Dave H

Welcome to the forum Dave.

I'd ask this in the Tech section, there's one specific to your year Mustang. They'll probably know more in there.

Good luck

Default usb problem sorted

Hi all, got the usb sorted, found where the control unit was located, removed the glove box, removed the control unit, and guess what the output lead was not even plugged into the unit!!!!
Put in a flash drive and all is well
When I refitted the glove box, I noticed that if you look up you can still see part of the control unit, so think its possible that if you try and force something in the glove box say a magazine it could dislodge the cable out of the unit, either that or it as never been plugged in.
Thanks for reply
