Default Camshaft position sensor

My 2005 ford mustang gt had had it's check engine light on for a while and the fault code says it's a camshaft position sensor. I have changed both sensors and a friend of mine said a alternator that is starting to go bad could cause these problems l, does anyone know anything about this?

It is your alternator, I had a 2006 GT that got the cam sensor code. did not get to replacing the alternator quick enough and it parked me on the side of the road $160 tow and $140 alternator later fixed the problem. Change it as soon as possible only takes about 30 to 45 mins. to do. If you need help look on youtube lots of videos on this.
