First, what engine do you have? 4-cylinder? Any '86 and up 5.0 can be used, but requires many changes not easily handled by the novice.

i Bought the 1986 Ford Mustang Fox Body 4 Cylinder and looking to replace it with a 5.0 engine. I came across a 1992 Ford 5.0 engine .

The 92 will work but as IMP says, there is some serious horse trading to do here if you've never done this before. For starters, you are going to want the wiring harness and computer from the donor for the engine, possibly the complete rear end and maybe the transmission depending on what you have. Others on the forum who have performed this surgery will surely chim in. It is not impossible, just a lot of work. It will create a rabbit hole that you can chase a lot of money down and never come close to seeing a return on investment. BUT, if you are like most hot rodders, the money doesn't matter, just the satisfaction of doing the project yourself.
