Catalytic converter glowing red

Default Catalytic converter glowing red

Hey guys new member but been on the site before love it but i have an issue with my mustang its a 2000 3.8 old motor was bad on lifters decided to change motor with same kind got it running but now converter turns red hot i knw its from lean fuel new spark plugs, new wires, new everything literally, i like doing things the right way even if i take long on it but anyway i had this problem before a few years back i now cats are not clogged as i have checked them i now valves as other things could make it glow red what sensors could make it glow thanks in advance

Fuel in the exhaust will run them hot like that, not LEAN, rich... Lean will
have the combustion chambers run hotter, not the cats. RICH fuel can
run them red hot.

Could be, but I'd make sure it's not a rich fuel mixture before replacing cats cause they can be expensive.
