i was recently given a 1988 Mustang GT. The car was originally a T-Top car but the previous owner changed to a hard top. I know I’m a long way from being ready, but I’m trying to figure out how or where to find the parts to turn it back. Any ideas?

I wish someone had given me a car!!! Haha.
But in all seriousness, I'm not too familiar with this generation of mustang, but parts are plentiful for any year...even some stuff in the classifieds.
Hopefully someone can chime in and let you know what to look for first, before you even put a dollar into the car. For example, classic mustangs have rust issues in the cowl, quarterpanel, floorpan, and parts of the frame. I'd hate for you to put parts into it, and realize something really needs you attention.
What do you want the finished product to be? 1/4 mile monster, cruiser, something in between?

Good luck.

Don't put the t-tops back in, there is a reason why the previous owner got rid of it. They are nothing but problems and the older the car gets, the worse it gets. Cool car for a project.
