Default Headlights go out when adjusting steering tilt?

I have a 2002 Mustang GT. The problem im having is when my headlights are on and I change the steering wheel tilt position ,my headlights go out. I have to change the tilt again to get them to turn back on. Do the headlight wiring run into the steering column? Could I have a lose connect or maybe a wiring issue? Driving me nuts!!!!!

ok it turned out that the wire harness in the turn signal switch was loose. Everytime i would tilt the steering wheel up, it would turn the head lights off. Grrrrrrrrr. FOUND AND FIXED!!!
