I'm about to restore my 2000 mustang gt after 20 years of wear and tear from two kids. With one of them smashing the front end twice in two months! Needless to say I bought her a 5.0 mountaineer to drive instead. Anyway, I need lots of advice on how to replace and repair everything just about since it's 20 years old. Oh and I want to put a good amount of performance parts on it too. Being a girl fixing my own car, I hope you guys are nice to me!!

Approach your Mustang one step at a time. 20 year old suspension is probably worn out, calipers and new rotors with pads. I went to our local Mustang shop and replaced entire interior with a GT leather set for around $400.00. Door hinges can be another issue, don't adjust the jamb pin, just replace the hinges about $50.00 for a set of four used. I've replaced lots of Mustang parts just because they are worn out. Get some trim tools and maybe a proper caliper tool. Your 2000 Mustang is a really a fairly simple car to fix up. I've found a lot of info on u-tube on replacing just

about anything. I saved this V-6 Mustang for very little and u-tube instruction.

Thanks for the advice! I was just thinking about my suspension!! I was doing a brake job, which I do almost every year I swear, and I'm not hard on my brakes, when I saw my motor mount was rusted out. I've already replaced my calipers because they ceased up on me awhile ago, and I replaced my rotors twice on my car. My door hinges were replaced recently because my door hung really bad. I am doing all the small things. It's the big things that intimidate me but need to be done.
