I have 2009 Ford Mustang that is Grabber Orange I have stripped it down removed the racing stripes and had the entire car repainted. I am having the racing stripes professionally installed and I am stuck with one last thought.

Should the two racing stripes installed down the centre of the car go over the hood scoop or under the hood scoop? I know this is a matter of preference. I am just interested in what everyone thinks look better.

The car previously had the stripes over the hood scoop but looking at the car freshly painted the hood scoop really pops and seems a shame to cover it.

Looking forward to some feedback.

 

Over. IMO, it would look stupid broken up by the scoop.

I still don't like the look. I had a GT350 with the riveted on hood scoop like back in the day and the hood scoop was striped with the hood. In the final analysis its your car do it the way you want. So far you have not any feedback other than mine which should tell you something.

Personally, I like the looks like this below best. You're right in that the scoop "pops" that way.

To get the stripes to flow smooth across the seam between the scoop and the hood is gonna be a real chore.

 

I stayed original, looks great either way.

 

Hi, as everyone has stated . It is more of a personal choice. IMO I like the original. But it is not me car. Good luck with your choice.
