Hi all,
New member here from Michigan. I have never owned a mustang and am currently looking for a 05-09 GT manual trans. I have enjoyed reading through many threads learning more about this era Mustang. I have looked at quite a few cars so far, but have yet to take one home. Thanks for all the valuable insight.

Welcome! As a second-time owner of a '05-09 era Mustang, I can assuredly say you won't regret the purchase!
I just bought my current '06 GT 5-speed in mid-January, after much searching on all the car sales sites. I found mine while perusing the FB Marketplace posts (the last place I looked of course).
Keep to your priorities of what you want and what you don't want, and you will find "your" car; it just takes patience.
A helpful tip: If you're looking at '05-07's, see if the owner has replaced the spark plugs. Those early model years had a 2-piece plug from Ford that can and will break while trying to extract them.(this is from personal experience with my first '05 Mustang).
Let us know what you find!

I am still searching for the right GT, winter weather has slowed things down a bit. Drove about 5 hours to look at a 06 that wasn’t as clean as advertised. Hesitant to make any long trips again, not much that sparks my interest locally right now. Thanks
