My 2006 Ford Mustang GT needs a Differential Front Pinion Seal replaced. I'm taking it to a mechanic to fix it. If someone can please advise me how long should it take them to fix it?

 

Done by one experienced in rear axle work, an hour should be more than adequate. Pinion seal replacement can be a tricky affair because it involves releasing the PINION BEARING PRELOAD, which is a critical factor in rear gear operation.
