Greetings from the Schwarzwald (Black Forest). I am an American that retired here after more than 40 years military/civil service. Spent most of those years living overseas and a great deal of it in Germany. I have lived/worked in more than 42 countries and when I retired I was here so it was just easier to stay and buy a house deep in the Schwarzwald, almost dead in the middle. I am a hunter and flyfisher. Contrary to the wives tails, there are phenomenal opportunities to hunt and fish here and we can discuss that but obviously not in this thread. Mauser and HK are about 30 minutes away....

I drive a 65 Fastback, 302/4spd with a 1:280 rear axle. Living here I can enjoy some spirited mountain driving, sometimes there are too many curves when you need to get somewhere!. I wonder sometimes about going to another ring and pinion for the mountains but I have to also consider the Autobahn. The suspension mods have really helped and I have often been told the car corners like a slot car.
