Default New Guy With Old Car

Howdy folks, my name is John, and thanks for having this forum here.
Just bought an 05 4.0 for our boy, well actually his money mostly we did help a little, but I spent if for him because he's too busy working construction to go shopping for cars and he entrusted me with his funds to find something good. I have had a say in it somewhat and I was just looking for some solid transportation like a Nissan, Toyo, Hunyada, or whatever, I am a Ford guy but it's hard to find a good Ford in the 6500 buck range, I drive a 17 Focus for my commuter and love it, and I got a 68 F100 I play and tinker with, but I started looking at these S197's in the 05 to 09 style and actually fell in love. So happens our son also loves Mustangs, but I just thought it'd be too much car for him and he'd get in trouble so I wasn't initially looking for a Mustang, but hey, you can get in trouble with any car, so I succumbed to his dream and found this nice 05 with 75000 miles, drives and sounds good, and the owner I got the car from along was great, an older guy like me and his man cave we hung out in while we talked about the car was a wonderful example of a hobbyist mechanic who loves his American muscle cars so I know it was well cared for while in his possession. Everything checked out on it cept for the power seat won't go back or forward but for now we removed the seat and determined it needs a new rack, so I just hand adjusted it to fit him so he can drive it fine till we find a driver side seat rack.

Another fun thing is it's manual tranny, I taught him to drive stick a couple weeks ago on this car and he's very proud of that accomplishment, so he's got some man credits to stick in his ego, so that was pretty neat.
Anyway, thanks again for reading my intro, and I hope to be on here and learn about his new/old car, and I can pass it on down to our boy what I learn here.
Here's our son with new car, I parked it in the garage and mama and I waited for him to come home and she called him into the garage for help, and he walked right into his Mustang, he was floored, he don't normally cuss, but under his breath he did this time, and it was a happy cuss! We laughed. Look at that smile!
