Hi guys. I have a 65 Mustang Fastback that has been in our family since new. We were looking at the stamped serial number and realized it shows the car to be a couple (07) rather than the fastback (09) that it is. This car has never been wrecked and has NOT been converted from a coupe. The car was manufactured in the California plant. Has anyone ever seen this happen or know of a story as to how it might of happened? Thanks for any help. BTW I have posted this question on other Mustang forums.
