I just picked up a 1997 Cobra 2 weeks ago. It is my second Mustang:

















Does anyone know how to tell what # car it is for the 97 cobra's? Would love to know what number out of nearly 7k coupes it is.

Hehe, leaking a bit of eagle 1 actualy. First nice day since I have owned it.. had to shine it all up

 

run your vin # i think is how to get build # unless it's in door jamb

 

thats a real good looking car - drop it with some 1.5 inch springs and it'll be amazing

The only thing not bone stock on the entire car was the air filter.

Plenty of mods planned for it. Hopefullying putting an x pipe and exhaust system in January, already ordered a set of 3.73's for it should get those in soon, and I am looking into a 140 dry shot system.. not sold on the bottle yet though.
