Default NOOOOOOB!!!!111oneone

Hello,

I'm new to the mustang world.

I drive a (Dont laugh now) Miata. http://home.triad.rr.com/borka/miata.htm

My hobbies are racing, mainly autocross and track days. My car doesnt like straight lines, it tends to leave bits and peices behind.

Anyway the reason I am on here is for some information for a project I am doing. The project is a 5.0 miata (Monster Miata) that will eventually be a Supercharged 5.0 miata (Mega Monster miata). Of course I always like to make new friends to bench race with.

I wont be a pest and post questions here, I'll try and find the correct forum.

My other cars are: 97 Jeep Cherokee Sport, and an 04 Maxima <-----soon to be gone I hope.

Actually its a pretty simple swap. There is a kit for it, it includes a new K frame etc.

This is something like what mine will look like.

That is way over priced.

The one in the picture I used it 18500 and its supercharged. Jon B built that car and I dare say it is one of the top monster miatas out there.

I'm selling my turbo miata which is quicker than a stock 5.0 monster miata, for 10K.

I'm also looking for a donor mustang if anyone has a line on one. I would prefer the 255 HP 5.0, and the car doesnt have to be nice. It can be beat all to crap as long as the drive train and ECU are ok.

Well good luck with the swap man. I have seen a "MEGA MONSTER Miata" I was a 5.0 that was bored out to a 331. Carbed motor with a roots type blower and dual carbed. F***ing sweet. That thing was insane. Don't think he had traction ever but the dyno papers showed how beastly he really was.

There is almost no modification to the engine bay. You have to do a little trimming to route exhaust but it's not much.

The engine bay is actually pretty big. Its way to big for a 4 cyl. The 302's aren't that big so it makes a nice pair. It's kind of like a modern day sunbeam tiger.

Traction will be an issue. I'll run staggered tires and add fender flairs. I should be able to get 245's or maybe a little bigger.

I'm used to traction issues anyway. My car make 289 HP, when the turbo spools there is a substantial power spike that breaks the tires loose. I'm on 225's now.
