Greetings to all
Hey. Just thought I'd introduce myself, seems to be the thing to do. I'm in the Air Force. I am 41+ years old. I have a 1970 sportsroof, wimbledon white. 351C, 4 bbl., 4 speed. 3.25 one-legger. No air, no ps, no smog equipment. Power front discs. Magnum 500's, rear wing, shaker, fold down rear seat, standard white interior. All - to the best of my knowledge - factory options. I added the Mach 1 twist hood locks, and since the hood now has holes, they stay there. Gotta get one o' them thar Marti reports to verify how it came from the factory. I've owned the car going on 25 years now, bought it the summer of 1981, prior to my senior year in high school. It replaced a rusty 69 sportsroof that a dealer painted pretty, and I neglected to really look at.
I've been through the trick paint, mach 1 trim, and the big cam phase, and now I"ve got the car about 95% original. Got semi-hosed on a restoration, shelled out 20k and when I got the car back had water in the engine, wouldn't start, wouldn't charge, wouldn't shift, brake pedal went to the floor, and brake system warning light disconnected. Friggin' nightmare. But got most of that straightened out.
Not sure how often I'll pop in, but still lovin' my 'Stang after all these years. People still stop to stare at it, and never fails to draw attention. You know the feeling...'Hey! Look at me! I'm drivin' a classic Mustang!'
