Default New to the board

My wife decided she'd had enough of the mini van since the kids are off to college so....she'd always wanted a red convertible Mustang so....that's what we got a few weekends ago. You can see a pic of it in the photo gallery.
Are there very many 40th anniversary models out there?

Welcome! Sounds like a nice ride.

As for your question, there is a difference between just having 40th anniversary badges and having the actual anniversary package. All 2004 cars came with those badges that say 40th anniversary. The actual package was on, I believe, a maroon-reddish color stang with beige stripes.

I don't know how many of those are around, but I've yet to see one on the boards, or atleast from what I recall.

We have MANY 04 owners though.

Welcome and glad to hear your out of the minivan. I would swap out the rims and get some Bullitts or chrome saleens. Cant believe someone already put the newer v6 rims on a older stang.

Thanks guys and gals.
Actually the last mini van wasn't that bad ('00 Honda Ody) as it was quick when it had to be.
We found this on a dealers lot just as it sits. Were these wheels optional for the '04's?
They may have been take-offs as the tires look like new but aren't the size that's on the gas filler door.
My son and daughter don't like the wheels and I would've preferred Bullitt's myself but settled for what came on the car.
It does have the Mach 460, leather and power everything so I can't complain too much.

ps - my toy is a '67 Porsche 912 Sunroof coupe.
