Silly boy. You have different chips in youre ignition. you can change i up to 8 grand. Find the stuff and put a different chip ( the little white things). Yeah, im comming OB. I wanna have my buddy with the MACH come up, He is getting stright pipes welded into where his mufflers were. Oh yeah i got a quote of 201.00 for Magnapacks installed. I wanna call the place you got youres and see if i can get a better price. My other buddy with a white Integra w/ turbo is comming. And more if i can get them to come. Im hoping to beat more imports so i can come post and get more attention. lol.

Still not a clue as to which wire it is running off my alternator to my starter solenoid.
I don't see one wire comming off it going to it!
There's a thickish black one that goes to my STARTER, but i Doubt thats it.

so you can't find the right wire huh OB? the manuals for my 88 show three different types of alternators, two of the three show the wire from the alternator to the starter solenoid to be black with an orange strip, the other shows it to be black with a red stripe. it will also be the larger diameter wire of any other wires attached to the alternator as it carries the most current. and finally, if you can see the markings, the wire you want is on the BAT terminal on the alternator. Hope this helps you some, don't want to hear you pissing and moaning that you couldn't run because you couldn't get the wire moved to the shut off switch. etc. etc. etc.
and tell Casper that the chips on the MSD don't shut off the fuel, they interrupt the ignition to the cylinders so they don't fire and this holds down the rpms.

Well Round. OB DID NOT run a 12 second pass. BUT he did impress me with his 13.0. I also gave it a try and stuffed into 5th gear no problem. But i could only manage a 13.5. His clutch is MUCH different than mine. I however ran a Civic Si, nd managed a 14.48@98MPH. I so badly want to be in the 100MPH club.
I feel left out. I think after my MAF, TB, and Upper plenum. I willbe in the club for sure. lol. I hope OB comes home soon and writes his 2 cents

It's a 100-150 shot!
My jet is rated for 400hp so its always getting a full shot from my solenoid.
Which is rated for 150HP
So now I'm making anywhere from 350-400RWHP!!!
But it can't get me anywhere
Going to get it dyno'd this saturday, see what I'm laying down for numbers and get it retuned.
So close to my 12second Run of Glory!
If I had only just went a little bit higher into the RPMS instead of staying around 6000-6100 I know I would've just made it in.
There's always next wednesday
And yeah, I let Casper drive my car for one run to see how he'd do.
He used nitrous for the first time, fergot to ask how you liked it.
So how was it? Gonna spend the 400-500 bux and get a kit?

Well guys I see you had another interesting night at the strip! I still can't quite figure out why you have to go into 5th gear unless your tires are too short or they are slipping all the way down letting the rpms creep up. don't think they're slipping though as you ain't making the power to do that even on street tires, so what is the height in inches of your tires OB? something just ain't adding up here. with a 4.10 rear gear, engine speed of 6100 rpm, then the wheel speed is 6100/4.10 = 1487.82 rpm. assume a 26" diameter tire, the circumference is 6.8067 ft. multiply by 1487.82 rpm and get 10127.27 ft per minute, divide by 5280 ft/mile = 1.91804 mile/min x 60 min/hr = 115.083 mph. this is more than the 109.59 mph that was recorded, so either the tire diameter is smaller than 26" or the engine rpm was not 6100 at the finish line. You have a choice to make here, you either keep the tranny in 4th gear across the finish line so the car is still accelerating OR you need to get a taller tire so that you don't have to shift into 5th gear and then you might get the 12 sec time you are looking for so badly. (this assumes you don't get any better traction than the 2.908 60' time you got, which is really bad by the way) YOU NEED SOME BETTER TRACTION THERE OB! Since I know you probably won't get a different tire size nor run the engine up to 6200-6300 in 4th gear, the only thing you can do is reduce the 60' time somehow. what tire pressure are you running? try lowering it down some more until the rear end of the car wiggles a bit at the top end, then add back 1 or 2 psi if it makes you uncomfortable (the wiggle that is). when are you turning on the nitrous? are you using it out of the hole or are you waiting until you get rolling better before you hit the button? I would try holding off on it until you get into 2nd gear and then hit the NOX and see what this does for your times. comparing my recent times with yours, with my 1.78 60' and 1/8 of 8.63 @77.68 mph, we are about the same ET at the 1/8 mile but you're doing 87.33 mph, 10 mph faster than me, so the HP is there for you to get into the 12's, you just need to get out of the hole a touch quicker is all. with a 2.90 60', you must have been spinning your *** off I presume, but you don't say that for a fact.
so recapping, you need more traction down low out of the hole and you need to stay in 4th gear across the line and then you might get into the 12's.
and Casper, with the new TB, MAF and upper plenum, you should be able to hit the 100 mph mark with ease!
BTW OB, you're still a "bottle baby" and I'm "All throttle, no bottle" ! Based on these times you just ran, if we were to race 1/8 mile, I would probably stand a good chance of kicking you butt, bottle or no bottle! Especially since earlier this year in cool air when I ran my best of 13.533, the 1/8 was an 8.51 and the next week I averaged an 8.55 1/8 mile for 6 passes! And you know I would just kill you on the tree too! hahahahahaha
