Default Uh Oh...

All I can say really, made a post about this in the Gen Tech section seeing what people have to say there.
But I signed up at Corral looking for more NorthEasterners for us to cruise around with and stumbled upon this:
http://www.corral.net/forums/showthr...ighlight=Golen
What should I do?!
Engine is nearly done and I've spent a ****LOAD of cash with them.
I've got no idea how to check bearing clearances or to even tell if all the parts are what they say they are...
This, really... sucks...
Anyone help me out here?

copy those posts..find a good lawyer...and a mechanic...and then have the good mechanic check out the car
if the work is warenteed on your car and parts normaly are but if that and the work are all warenteed i would just sit tight until somthing happens..
are these guys a upstate albany area type of place or are they located elswhere..i mean if their local i might know somone that knows somone not that it would do much good, edit"i would also like to add..you should contact all those guys on the other forum...talk to them find out how many other people had issues with this place.,..you might be able to get the work done elswhere at their cost due to their frequent screwups...who knows"

OB, I would bring this to Pete's attention.
Since he's the one who recommended Golens to you, if you show him why you're concerned, I'll bet he'll talk to Golen for you and try and make sure they do a good job for you.

Also, it has been 5 years since that post was made. Though it sounds like those guys had legit problems with Golens, if a company is that bad, they wouldn't be in business now. They may have had really bad help at the time, or help that just didn't care.

Get ahold of Pete, and tell him your concerns.

I did talk to pete, he was saying dont worry everything will be fine.
Don't be so concerned.
Just break it in the way I say and everything will be ok.

And it was less than 3 years since the post was made.

I always look into the place before actually putting trust into a company. Next time look into them first buddy. I guess you can only keep on pushing and see what happens. And you DO have a warranty so the money part wont be a problem... just the time the car is down. The 2 engine building places near me also have wicked problems with their work. I found a good place that all the local drag racers go, and im having him do the work to the heads when i finally get them.
