Default OFFICIAL OEWheels Reviews (56k warning)

Heres the thread for all you that buy from OE wheels! post up your comments and pictures.

Rules:
1- try not to post 500 pictures. 2-4 is fine, and gets the job done most of the time
2- Give a review of your experience. I know when I bought, I searched around a few formums for people that bought from OE. so lets keep it condensed and give potential buyers a break on finding things!
3- if your car is lowered, how much. theres a difference between 18's on a slammed car and and 18's on a stocker. dont want people thinking they buy wheels, and get a drop, do we?
4- wheels bought, size, and tire size.

(hope this is OK lance)

now, my review!

lance was great communicating with me back when I first bought- He gave me the number to call, who to talk to, and told him that I was calling. He had everything ready to order, took 10 minutes and they were ready to go. I was told there was going to be a 2 week wait, but they were here in barely a week! hows that for service? I keep on getting compliments on how nice they look, and they are amazing. I would definately buy from Lance and OE again

wheels: Gunmetal 10th anniversary cobra
size: 17x9/17x10
tires: 255/40 front, 315/35 rear
drop: chopped drop, 2". or none

Got my DD Cobra R's from OE on eBay before they became a sponsor here.

Great price, great quality, and quick delivery.

The rims are 18x9 and 18x10 staggered for s197. I picked the gunmetal finish to go with my Satin Silver Stang. I was considering black wheels, but I was seeing too many black wheels and also wanted something a little more low key.

I'm kind of going with a sleeper look for the car. I'd do black wheels if I were to do a badass look and didn't mind attracting attention from cops and other people.

I got a set of Nitto 555 for the rims. 255/45-18 and 285/40-18. Car is lowered on H&R supersports and D-specs. I have other suspension mods as well.

Lately I've been running 42psi in the tires for the street. I like the tight feeling ride it gives. 38psi is ok, but a little too soft for me.

I'm always getting compliments on the Cobra R's. I was at the Ford dealer this week and like 6 sales guys were checking out my car, and they all loved the tires and rims. This place has P51's, 427R's, and other Roushes, so I was surprised they even paid any attention to my car. They liked the lowered look with the 18's. They thought 20's look to big on our cars, and kinda weird with the super short sidewalls. I'd have to agree.

The only problem with these wheels is that you might get some haters doing lame sh17. My car got egged like 3 times in one week during spring break. A Corvette and a Mercedes about a mile from me got messed up too.

Don't worry Lance. I'm not blaming you, haha

Anyways, here are a couple pics.

I think everyone here knows how I feel about OE wheels!!! I am really happy with the product and service I received from Shawn and Lance!! The guys helped me get a great looking wheel at a great price!! They were helpful and gave me great information quickly anytime I asked!!
I went with a 17" 9/10 combo with 275/40's on the front and 315/35's on the rear. No suspension mods yet, hopefully this summer.

What can I say ,except the whole experince with OW Wheels is nothing but first rate.Phone assistance, ordering, shipping was the best experince I have had with any online company.
I ordered on a Monday morning a set of Chrome 1998 Cobra R 18/9 and 18/10 wheels with 255/45 and 295/45 Nitto 555's mounted and balanced.Received them on my door step the Friday afternoon of the same week.Shipped to Connecticut. Can't beat that service. I love the look of these wheels along with Red Cobra R center caps.
