Default New Castrol Edge

Scored a couple jugs of it cheap so gonna give it a whirl in the Stanger. It's the new SN formulation (5w30) only thing that worries me is Castrol in the past has been known to shear down fairly quick mind you, it will prolly only get 2-3k on it before it's changed.

it should be a huge improvement over the other oils you have been using, It makes my top 5 list!

Lizzy,

Going to be adding one ounce of Red Line additive per quart of Edge to your fill?

I just got a good deal on 5 quarts of Castrol Gold Edge and a filter.

How good is this stuff? The guy at Autozone was raving about it but I don't trust those guys at all. Only reason I got it is because I used to use Syntec and it was a great deal.

Did you buy Edge Syntec or Edge Titanium? There is a difference

This stuff.

I'm getting some valvetrain noise on cold start since I changed it. Is that because of the oil? And what can I do to quiet it? Thanks.
