Just retired from the Marine Corps and moved to Edmond from Okinawa, Japan. Just picked up a 68 Mustang 1 week ago today and joined here a couple of days later.
New to this forum, checking in from Moore, Oklahoma. Smack Dab inbetween OKC and good ole' Norman. Bought an 87 LTD Crown Vic , pulled the 5.0, carbed it, bought a 91 Mustang LX Coupe. The Crown Vic now resides at Pull-A-Part on SW15th and Sante Fe. got $100 for it
NICE!!! We need pics. Is the LX good and loved? Sounds like a fun ride.
Bottom of rear quarters are rusted, the driver side quarter is smashed in, driver side fender is rusting just above wheel, other than that, hoods in good shape and the body's fairly straight, no motor or tranny. even though it was originally a 4cyl car the former owner converted to a carbed 302 with a T5 but left the factory 7.5" in the rear. my plans are to drop in my carb 302 build in it with a rebuilt T5, aluminum driveshaft and an sn95 8.8 rear with 5 lug disc brakes, 5 lug conversion in front, redo the entire interior all black, then paint the car silver. I don't have pics up yet and due to the current thunder sleet i don't think i want to run out juuust yet
Very cool. Recycling an unloved mustang. This is crazy weather, huh?! I was supposed to be at Moore-Norman Tech on wednesday for a refresher course. Don't think I'm gonna make it. I live in western Oklahoma, and we didn't get it as bad as you guys.

No kidding? i actually go to Moore Norman Tech for school. Im in the Automotive Collision course. I was shoveling my driveway earlier and found a snow drift up to mirrors on the coupe, -15 wind chill, not fun
Cool. Will they let you use your own car as a project? I was so glad MN Tech was shut down again today (wednesday). I was not looking forward to fighting my way from western Oklahoma to be in class by 9 a.m. It's about an 1 1/2 drive normally as it is. I hope you guys get dug out soon enough.
