All I know is that you need a helmet to race and you need some type of engine bracing. Of course, there's entry fees and bring something to make a number on your car -- some type of paint or tape that's safe for auto paint.

Is there anybody on this forum who participates in the Mid GA SCCA?

It's the bar that goes across the top of your engine. I guess it keeps it from shifting. Mine was already installed when I got the car. Some cars have it and some don't. My friend's car, who didn't have a mustang, had to install one himself.

There are different classes like Solo I II, autocross, etc. Each class has set rules. So if you want to run that level
depending on skill level as well you have to follow the guidelines. Good Luck,
