$40 OBO for the GT500 strut bar

I live in Denver and any of these parts that dont sell are going to get recycled, so if you're interested Im negotiable on these items.

Looks like shipping is around 15 bucks. I'm pasting a link to the pic here so hopefully you can see it better. I can take a more close up of it if you want, just reply and I'll get a better pics of the brace for you.

Thanks.

Earl,

I've done some reading on the forums.. the concensus is that this bar will NOT fit under the hood of a 05-09 GT. There is talk of washers;shims;hood bulges. So rather than roll the dice I have decided not to go with this part. Sorry if I have caused any inconcenience.

I understand your reticence as I had it too. I know I have a bunch of pics of when I stripped and painted and mounted it and it was in my 06 GT. If I can find those, I'll post them here and you'll see there were no issues with mine other than I mounted mine backwards (for clearance reasons) which is pretty common. But either way, I'm sure someone will want this bar and I would totally use it in my 10 but it wont clear the CAI tube on the supercharger

Yeah - you know what...I had forgotten about some of the problems I had with it. It would heat sink into the liner on the hood and it melted it a little. I ended up replacing the stock hood liner with one from this guy http://hoodliners.blogspot.com/2009/...-firewall.html and I was totally happy with it. So if you are going to do a GT500 bar, keep that in mind. Here are pics of what this bar looked like the first time I stripped, painted it and installed it.

I did end up installing it backwards (last pic) with a couple washer underneath it but with the new hood liner the problem shown below went away!
