Hey guys just wondering what you guys think I should do to my car next? I've got mac long tubes, prochamber, catback, cai, tb and plenum. I was thinking about a tune but was wondering if when you got a tuner if you have to take it to a dyno to get it tuned or if you can do it yourself. Thanks alot
Yes go with gear's 3.73 or 4.10's go with the 3.73's if your planning on making alot of rwhp and 3.55's if your planning on making ALOT of boost and ALOT of rwhp, and go with 4.10's if your keeping it N/A or a mild setup.
disregard everything SunsokuStang said. if you plan on supercharging or turbocharging, get 4.10s. if you plan on juicing, get 4.10s. if you plan on staying N/A, get 4.10s. if you do a lot of highway driving, get 4.10s. if you have a stick, get 4.10s. the only way you should even consider 3.73s is if you get a twin screw type supercharger, even then people still have 4.10s.

i never said it wouldn't. we're just talking about like a 250rpm difference from 3.73 and 4.10. people always come on here with hearsay about stuff, mostly gears. majority (not all) feed you BS about going with this or that if you plan on doing blah blah, when they don't even have gears done at all.

i don't have 4.10s. that's why i'm so grumpy when people say things about gears. i listened to people. they said if i plan on going F/I in any way, get 3.73. if i do highway driving or have a stick, get 3.73. so like the impressionable n00b, i listened. after having them with my n/a car on the highway shifting, i wanted 4.10s. after putting on my blower, i want 4.10s still. i don't see anything out there that would make me change my mind. other than the fact i'd have to pay $500 for new gears. do it right the first time.
