Alright, so i've got a 02 Mustang GT, that I need to put some exhaust on, but I'm having a hard time finding headers that would fit my price range... So this is what I've learned so far... correct me if I'm wrong... BBK full length headers, with catted X pipes, is about the best deal for the money? But then I saw some headers named Hedman, really cheap, but I'm not convinced that they are worth it. Can anybody tell me if they are worth their weight, or recommend to me some other company. hmmm.......they are a longtime namebrand, most amnufacturers do have "levels" of quality though I have seen good ones and not as good ones...you really need to know flange thickness, tube wall thickness etc. That will tell you alot the rest is fit and finish, which are important....more homework would be needed I think

 

BBK's headers rust really fast, within a week or two... It's up to you, you get what you pay for...

Have you looked at MAC long tube headers? If not you might want to I know they are cheeper than the BBK one's and a lot of people on here have them and really like them. But defently get the ceramic coating on any set of headers that you decide to get

ehh i got the chrome ones because i got a killer killer price on them (ebay special new) and my car never sees rain, prob seen a some drops once since i had the headers because it stays in my garage. and i see on the bottom there is a spot of surface rust already. this car is only driven on the weekends also. i wish i sprayed them down with some type of coating before i put them on. maybe if it gets real bad ill spray it down on a lift or somthing. but def get the ceramic coating. if you think you want to get the chrome just for looks, you can barly see the headers anyways. ceramic>chrome

 

I couldn't find X pipes for the MAC or I would have looked into them, but I think I'll prolly go with the BBK Ceramic ones. Thanks
