Default Nitrous safe?

I just received my COMPLETE Trick Flow Top End kit (TW heads, Cam, timing set, Track Heat Intake), #24 Ford Racing Injectors w/ matching 75mm MAF, 70mm BBK TB, 255lph fuel pump, Aeromotive ADJ. FPR, FRPP waterpump, King Cobra Clutch, Ford Racing adjustable clutch cable...

I was wanting to get a Nitrous Express kit for my car. Maybe 100-150 shot.

Would running Nitrous with my new parts be safe with my stock short block?

150 is pushing it... Keep the 100 and I bet you will be plenty happy.

There is no such thing as complete as completely safe, I have only had experience with 5.0L's but for them 100 shot is considered "safe" as far as that goes. Wet kits are more popular at the moment.

talk to code3gt about what kit he got. he was running a 125 dry shot for like 3 years with an occasional 150 shot on a stock motor. the 175 shot killed it. [&:]

The thing on what is safe and unsafe is a difficult question to answer.

What you want to consider is what HP level is safe and RPM limit safe for your shortblock. Once you have that you can see what jetting to go with.

Buy a NX wet kit and go to a dyno. Put it on the rollers and increase the shot until you have reached the rwhp that is safe for your motor and driveline and make sure the tune is safe. Once you have done this you will have all kinds of fun on the bottle.

Things you will want to buy

Basic EFI wet kit.
bottle heater to keep the bottle pressure around 1000-1100.
window switch to activate and shut off the spray at a set rpm and just under redline.
blow down tube if you plan to go to the track
pressure gauge to mount on the bottle on in the cabin as I prefer.
and a purge to avoid bucking and rich conditions.

Spray is a great power adder, play buy the rules and you will play for a long time.
