Default plug question

im running a vortech blower at 8psi, just finnally got it running but im thinking its missfiring due to my plugs. i havent ordered new 2 step colder ones yet, but plan to. the plugs i got in now though, are new autolite coppers. i gapped them at .054, should i regap them lower untill the new plugs come in? will it make it run smoother? thanks a lot guys.

I gap mine @ .035. Try it and see where it gets you. Don't run it hard until you get the colder plugs. Detonation is def bad for s/c applications.

Default RE: plug question

set them to .035 and that didnt doit. my vacuum lines are good and everything else checks out. massive carbon on the plugs when i take them out so im thinking its running rich. i might just pickup another bottle of octane booster cause i still have some crappy 87 gas floating around mixed with the 93 i got in there. new plugs come in tommorow though so hopefully thatll doit.
