Default Nitrous Help

Iv'e been lookin at lots of sites about nitrous but it seems that they are all a clusterf*** or say the same not so specific info. Itll be a dry kit and Ill have all the safety switches. WOT switch, fuel pressure safety switch, and a MSD digital RPM window switch that allows you to program the nitrous to spray at certain RPM levels, nitrous pressure gauge, etc. I plan on just running either a 55 or 75 shot and possibly a 100 but probably not.

so lets say for a 75 shot what all do i need. different plugs? which ones do u suggest?...

need to buy a tuner and retard timing myself (if so how much ive seen lots of variance on this) or get it tuned at a dyno tune with either a 55 or 75? we have a wideband O2 in our club also.

how does your car get more fuel to mix with the nitrous... its a cold fusion kit. I just want to do everything right and get everything i need and im a newb to nitrous any help is appreciated and anything I forgot to mention

ok check it out.

i have never sprayed a car newer than '95 , but w/ a small shot as you are talking about....stock plugs are fine. you will want to close them up a bit , like maybe .040" (assuming stock gap is about .052")

you need nothing, your actually more than safe w/ all the stuff you mentioned. fp safety switch and wot switch should come w/ the kit. window switch is extra as you know.

as afr as timing goes....i'm pretty unfamiliar w/ the newer cars, but you can get an adj. timing control for your msd...and dial from the drivers seat. if 12*-14* na then you should go to about 12* on spray unless it's real hot out....then go 10*...always err towards safety.

the extra fuel is achieved from vacuum. from the nitrous reg....there is a vac line to the fp reg. ....when you spray, the change in vac spikes the fp from stock to about 80 psi.

i think answered your q's but if i missed....let me know.

also you never mentioned a heater...a heater is a must or you'll waste nitrous.

double the temp = double the pressure.

purge is not needed but cool as hell

do it...you'll love it

thanks a lot, you've been a ton of help. so from the msd digital window switch you can adjust timing then? I'm gettin more excited to use it, it gets here on thurs and im goin to the track fri. but i doubt ill have time to get everything correctly set up by then and i dont wanna rush it by any means. it comes with a bottle blanket and its the cold fusion kit like yellowstangs.
