headers
hey i was wondering what is the"best" brand to buy long tube headers from.. and do they really help you out with hp.. also what midpipe should i go with if i have flowmasters.. and where do u find midpipes at! i cant find them anywhere!.thx for the help
long tubes increase flow dramatically and reduce backpressure; i have heard of them adding 20 or so HP. i would strongly recomend hooker supercomp headers, or the JBA long tubes. if your going with flowmasters, especially with your 4V, i would suggest an o/r H pipe. if your looking for pure HP, an X will get you more HP; however for that throaty musclecar sound, especially with flows, an H is the way to go.
o/r x with bassani catback
heres a mach with a catted H and flows
MRT h pipe and stock catback
crower stage 3 cams, bbk long tube headers, bbk o/r h, flowmaster catback
i hope these help. some good brands for midpipes are BBK, JBA, Pypes, MAC, SLP, and pacesetter. heres a link for ya http://www.lmperformance.com/c/7/50.html check it out.
also check out www.mustangtuning.com and www.mustangexhaust.com
it really depends on what sound your looking for. the mach1's can get a really exotic high revving sound with an X; however an H will give you that muscle sound and is much better IMO.
