Default nitrous questions

can i run a shot on my GT ..stock motor and 1.7l KB

i heard its bad cuz the internals wont hold up...

i was thinking of buying a DSS Pro MODular shortblock, putting the KB on it and then throwing on a 100 125 or 150 shot

will this work or will my engine blow up in my face lol..

I would DEFINETLY get new internals before putting Nitrous with the blower on your stock block. If you do it...it might work for a few times. But most likely depending on how much hp you are running on the block...it will blow up in your face.

My opinion? Get a new block w/ internals and then turn up the boost on the KB!

you will need more than a shortblock, you will need forged internals as well. That would include rods, crank, and pistons.

well here is the info on the Short block..will this hold up at 14 psi with the kb and 125 shot? with a good tune..

remember its a daily driver and the juice is only on special occasions lol..

Block: NEW production 4.6 block, ARP main studs, and new metric oil galley and freeze plugs are installed.
Crank: Production cast crankshaft, prepped and balanced to racing tolerances.
Rods: DSS polished forged I-beams with ARP hardware.
Pistons: DSS forged Pro-X Series, available in low compression Max Quench.
Rings: Severe duty Speed-Pro moly rings, perfect for high boost or nitrous levels.
Bearings: Tri-metal main and rod bearings.
Assembly: All Pro MODularâ„¢ 4.6 short blocks are hand assembled by a professional engine builder. Clearances are checked with precision dial bore gages and micrometers (much more accurate than plasti-gage). Our precision in-house machining, assembly, and component selection are all keys to high horsepower modular longevity
