i think people just knock on em because thats what everyone and their brother puts on a mustang. People are looking to be different.
Personally im changing mine to bassani ..amazing sound.

I have had Flows on all 6 of my Mustangs and I know they're everywhere, but I still like the sound. My 86 has BBK 1 5/8 equal length headers, a Vortech SC, a Bassani x-pipe and I smile every time I start it.

They knock it because they are better than us with flows. They spent twice as much for a worse sounding same perfomance exhaust. i.e. SLP LM1's!!

Everybody and their brother has a Mustang, I should probably knock them too. Why do people think that just because alot of people have them that they shouldnt get them. Obviously everyone has them becuase they are the best. All other muffs came after the flows and they dont sound nearly as good. Why spend twice as much money on something that performs the same?

Flowmaster catback systems sound really good in my opinion. I went with the LMII catback because it was stainless steel and I wanted something different from everyone around my area not to mention it has the best looking tips on the market. I'm sure I would have been happy with the flows also though.

Which is what I did, and I learned on my car. Sawz-all and a few wrenches was all I needed. I got the 10 series, I love them, much louder and deeper than 40's and the overpriced Bassani's. The only drone I have is right around 1900-2100 rpm's. Truthfully I very RARELY cruise at speeds that put me in that range, and as soon as I get gears I will never cruise at those speeds.
