N e body out there! I have a 73 stang, and i'm planning on getting some work done in the near future. I was curious as to what are the best headers, name wise, for the dollar? Where can i get the best bang for my buck? and realistically how much HP do you believe they tack on...

Im not to sure about the older stangs but I put Mac Long Tube headers on mine along with the Bassani X pipe and catbacks. The guy said with that exhaust I was raised in the neighbor hood of 25 to 30 HP. If you can get a set of MAC ceramic coated long tubes then grab them. I have had mine for about two months and put over ten thousand miles on them and they stilll look brand new. No hot spots, flaking or anything!

 

I'm enjoying my BBK Ceramic Coated Long Tubes to a BBK 2.5" High Flow Catted H pipe into Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers(gotta replace mufflers dont likem much).

They WERE a bitch to get in.
But got them in without taking the engine out of the bay.

Very glad I got them in there as well...

 

What about hooker headers? Or Dnyomax? Heard hooker is the way to go, but then again i heard that from someone who probably doesn't know **** about cars, and i don't trust n e one who's still rockin a mullet ne way...jj [8D]

 

The name Hooker is not really spoken of to much here. I know the brand but nothing about the realibility.
