Yellow, stick to a 125 unless you upgrade your fuel system. You'll be perfectly happy with a 100 or 125 shot.

blown, I agree with you. Nitrous is a great power adder, but it doesn't perform as nice as a blower. You don't have to worry about all that technical crap, like what RPM it comes in on and all. How do you think Nitrous got the bad reputation that it has now? Because it's worse on a motor than a blower. You ever heard of a production car coming from the factory with nitrous? But I bet you've heard of quite a few that come with turbos, superchargers, etc. See, the assembly line knows what they're doing with cars to give them the best HP increase for the best durability on a motor. Does that not make any sense? I'm sure one of you (jeep probably) has something to disagree with me, but come on man, use common sense. </P>

I just bought some 24lbs. injectors, is that what u mean by fuel system upgrade or do u mean new pump and rails and stuff? I am just afraid of screwing something up internally. Orignally n2o was going to be one of the last things I do to the car, but... I dont know. I just ordered a gt-40 intake (upper and lower), heads and stuff are next. </P>

U may need to reinforce ur internals,

 

Get an a/f gauge and hook it up to your O2 sensor.

Run your motor rich with the nitrous on, the gauge will let you know if you start to lean out. If that happens, stop using the spray or you WILL f**k the motor.

It's respect and tuning that leads to safe/happy nitrous usage.

 

Ok,its time to lay a few myths to rest. This is probably going to be a long post because I have a lot to say about the juice. However i'll try to keep it as short as possible without leaving anything out. Making big or small amounts of hp's with nitrous is actually easier on the motor than making the same amount of power any other way. And here's the reason why. Nitrous actually reduces reduces detonation. When Nitrous is injected into the motor and exposed to 575 degrees F the molecular bond between the nitrogen and the oxygen(36% by weight) lets go allowing the free oxygen to be used as an oxidizer to burn more fuel BUT, it also releases the nitrogen (64%) This inert gas will actually retard the propagation of the flame front. This produces a very even-burning pattern in the cylinder. In a typical gas motor the fuel explodes violently at extremely high temperatures or detonates, while with nitrous the burn is at a more resonable temperature COMPLETLY across the face of the piston. This distributes the force more evenly across the piston. There are no hot spots to burn holes in pistons and the pressure on the rings is also more even reducing cylinder wall wear. This loads the bearings more evenly. Yes, there is more cylinder pressure and this wears parts out, but making the same power naturally aspirated or with forced induction stresses the motor in the areas I have mentioned.
