Intercooler
The car I have used to have a turbo set up, the intercooler is still in place, and I dont need it. I was just curious to know if I am going to have to remove the front bumper to take it off the car.

instead of taking the intercooler out, why dont you put a turbo in? All installs i have looked at for a i/c for my vortech, they all had the front skin off.

I have been doin some research on an intercooler installs and they always saay to remove the front bumper. Might just be for ease, I think if you wrestle it for 2-3 hours and damage the bumper I dont know how you could gain anything. Some pics would help though, or atleast tell us how big the intercooler is.
Here are some pics of it, the only mounting bolts I can see are right underneath it, and when you look at the forward shot of it, you can see the bumper cover is bowed in on top, and loose on the bottom, whoever did the install, just removed the screw that held this in place, and I want to fix that. But my overall reason for wanting to remove the intercooler, my car runs hot, and this thing covers more than half the radiator, I dont think there is much air getting to it. What do you think?
I plan to boost her next spring, but I had myself talked into installing a kenne belle, I like the self contained unit and the roots style system. Do you think it would be cheaper to purchase a turbo setup without the intercooler? But more than that, what about turbo lag, and I dont have the expierence to install a turbo, much less be able to tune one without help. I live near Tulsa, and I know there has to be someone on this board that may be able to help with installation. I have asked all the people I know in the area about who tunes stangs, and they dont know. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, and if someone lives near or in Tulsa, I would like the chance to talk to you.
