Ok, I've finally decided to go with the Magnaflow catted x-pipe and magnapack cat back system for my '04 GT. Money is a little tight right now and I can't afford to do both at the same time. Which one should I put on first? I currently have the stock exhaust with Flowmaster 40s welded in.

If you are looking for max performance earlyest, the x is going to net alot more RWHP.
And frankly, I would think at this point if you go with a catless x, its going to net more sound as well. My car really woke up sound wise when I installed the catless X, granted at the same time I installed the LT headers.

I agree that an offroad x might give a tad more power, but I don't think the sound would be as good compared to a cat-back change. I chose cat-back because its usually the most popular first choice - at thats what I woulda done too.
