Default good setup?

dart or world 302 block, bored 30. over, all forged internals, AFR 185's, 1.7 rockers, not sure about cam yet, but a good mid range one for turbo, 42lb injectors, true gt40 upper/lower, 80mm tb, 80mm mass air billet high flow fuel rails, 290 lph pump, decent sized intercooler, and a big trim turbo... im hoping for at least 500-600 whp with this set up, this is the turbo kit im plannin turbo kit. this will be in front of a tremec 5-speed with a good clutch. anything im overlooking or need to make a change to or beef up? (engine wise) whats a good compression ratio for this set up? want to get it right the first time

Ideal for turbos is about 8.5:1 for any motor with FI. Also make sure you have some mildly dished pistons in order to get that CR down unless your planning on using racing gas.

If I was buying the Dart block new, I sure wouldn't bore it .030 to begin with. For a boosted combo, I run more head. I'd wait on the rockers until the cam is chosen. I'd use 55lb or 60lb injectors for 500-600rwhp. I buy a real intake instead of choking it down with a GT40. 80mm TB planned for a GT40??? I'd buy a TB to match the intake opening (probably 75mm maybe 90mm). I'd run either twin 255lph pumps or a Weldon. What's a "big trim" turbo? And I'd definately go with an automatic.

well it looks like you choose the exact same setup i was looking at doing, except the turbo idea came just a couple days ago, also would like 9.2 compression work for a turbo motor and im also looking at that turbo setup, what kind of turbo would be right for that kind of motor and the other things like wastgate and other lil stuff like that

Most boosted combos build for 8.5-9.0:1 compression when they are starting from scratch. The turbo size should depend on what kind of power goals you are looking for. I'd say a 67-70mm looks to be the area you guys are shooting for. You could go smaller and just lean on it a little harder, but I always like a little room to grow.

i can always lower my compression that aint hard at all, but is this place to buy the piping kit from a good place to get things from and it doesnt say anything about a bov, im sorta new to turbos but i kinda know the basics so i need all the help i can get, and with this setup how my exhaust setup now change because of the bbk h-pipe i have will i need to get a new pipe since this is only a single turbo kit, what kind of wastegate would i need to, i kinda want to make this a sort budget kit and on motor i plan on making 400 rwhp or about 475 on motor roughly, so turbo wise i dont know what psi i want to make, so all the info i can get is nice

You probably need to direct your questions to either a forum like turbomustangs.com or someone who does it for a living like Brian @ bgturbokits.com. And Brian is who will be building my kit for me when I choose to upgrade.
