Default Magnaflow/Magnapack

Sorry this is a rookie question, but I've been readin some posts on this forum and was gettin confused to what magnapacks are? I'm guess those are the mufflers right? And everyone seems to say they are really loud. Another question, would you rather match magnapack mufflers up to an H pipe or X pipe? Everyone on here mainly has X for more power gains, I rarely see that many people with H pipe setups.

Magnapacks are round 4"X14" mufflers straight through and loud! The magnaflows look like regular mufflers and are straight through, but not as loud as the magnapack systems.

I have the magnapack and love it, I have a catted x-pipe to but want to put a non catted on next summer.

Most people want sound, I wanted power and sound is just a bonus. X-pipe give a higher pitch sound the h-pipe gives more that muscle car sound, but not as much power.

Awesome... that answers one noob question I had. And now on to the other. What is meant by a "cat-back" system? Does it mean with or without converters?

Yes from the end of your mid pipe to the back of the car is a cat back. The mid pipe is the pipe(s) from the manifolds to the cat back.

Yes but not as bad as the SLPs. The rasp is deep unlike the higher pitch rasp that I hear alot on f-bodies.

Magnaflows ROCK!!! The Magnapacks are >95 Db...illegal in most states..I have the regular Magnas and I love it...Silver loves his Packs..either way, they are both great!

BTW Silver....I'm getting Bassani mid-lengths and a Bassani SS X-pipe...got a great GP in the member buys section.
